Treehousekitchen
On Kiwiology since: February 2nd, 2010Since I started the blog on a night of imsomnia, I am not too sure yet what it’s going to be about exactly. At the moment I have decided to cook my way through ‘Falling Cloudberries’ by Tessa Kiro. Not a original concept, cooking through a cookbook (see Julie & Julia), but a mini-adventure of sorts in any case. I will probably write further about food, life, travel, etc down the road… since those are never too far from me in any case.

Pease Pudding
On Kiwiology since: February 2nd, 2010Pease pudding is a nursery rhyme I remember from my childhood in Northern England. I had a big Mother Goose rhyme book and this was one of my favourites, even though I hated peas as a child! When I was looking for a Blog name I wanted not only something to do with food but also a link to my heritage which was unique to food Blogs, hence peasepudding.

A sensory tour of NZ culture.
“Tiki East is a red-headed Aotearoian phenomenon. She’s the wild-eyed sensory-loving child of the seventies, of whom the Fairy People prophesised. Tiki is a voluptuary - addicted to luxury and sensual pleasures, and it’s with this sort of sensibility she’s exploring the culture of New Zealand. This magical, mystical myriad of journeys is just her little way of finding out what this whole being a New Zealander thing is about.
….she also talks a lot of shit….but would like to believe she’s good at it.”

- Researching and exploring a high nutrient low calorie diet (although I tend to stray on this one).
Most of the recipes on this website are vegetarian although I do eat fish and seafood and will occasionally post about them. I hope you find this website interesting.

On The Farm
On Kiwiology since: November 4th, 2007On The Farm is the weblog of Gareth Renowden, a New Zealand-based truffle grower and writer.
“Gareth Renowden is the author of The Truffle Book, president of the New Zealand Truffle Association and trainer of New Zealand’s champion truffle hound, Peg.
He grows three different species of truffle on his small farm in New Zealand’s Waipara Valley, as well as olives, grapes (pinot noir and syrah) and walnuts. When not tending his crops he writes books and magazine articles, specialising in gourmet food and its production - and (as often as possible) consumption. He was keynote speaker at this year’s Oregon Truffle Festival, and has travelled widely in France, Spain and Italy visiting truffle growers and sampling their wares.
He aspires to selling New Zealand grown black and white truffles to discerning French and Italian customers, but in the meantime is happy to eat his entire crop.”
