Pop Culture Reviews
On Kiwiology since: May 27th, 2009Pop Culture Reviews use to be Digital Otaku dot net. I decided to expand my horizons a little on the reviewing side of things to include movies, books and other areas of popular culture so Pop Culture Reviews was created.
I created this website as a hobby but it has now become an almost full-time pursuit to keep the site updated with interesting things on pop culture.

Funerals and Snakes
On Kiwiology since: November 19th, 2007The anbaric journal of Dan Slevin, gentleman, of Newtown.
“Dan Slevin is a New Zealand-based film writer. He has reviewed film for the Capital Times weekly newspaper since September 2006, seeing and reviewing every film commercially released in Wellington in that time (except, for some reason, Flicka).
Why Funerals & Snakes? In Jean-Luc Godard’s Contempt (Le Mépris; 1963), Fritz Lang said about CinemaScope: “It’s only good for funerals and snakes.” Well, this reviewer begs to differ.”
